This Quiet Tree

This quiet tree
stands majestic.
Proud and dignified.
I pass her daily, I note her state,
Adapting to the shifting skyscape, her world,
Moving with the seasons and reflecting...
Reflecting the light upon her.
Taking the surroundings
And shining them back
to all who care to look.
She imposes not,
nor does she hide.
Always changing
But with oaken backbone
...and utter grace.

Silk noile and silk open weave fabrics. Silk perle thread. Part of the growing neutral Slow Cloth. 12"x12"
