What A Bind!

As time goes on I use less and less commercial fabric but there are always some that make me tingle with desire in the patchwork shops!

This one is by Moda and really cheers up the kitchen now that I have at last finished the binding (I hate that part and the nearly finished quilt has been lingering far too long I'm afraid). But if Isabel can finish Teddy's quilt (see last post) then so can I - I refuse to be beaten by a seven year old!

I have had to put a picture of the backing fabric in close up here because it makes my mouth water!

  1. Have been reading your blog for a while and am really enjoying, thank you for sharing your work, i love the red quilt, it has inspired me to finish a red quilt that has been put away as it only needs binding!!! it was meant to be a summer picnic 'rug' then as time went on a christmas lap quilt, you never know this year it might just make it ;-)

  2. Is'nt it great that a seven year old can make a teddy quilt, and inspire you to finnish this wondeful red quilt. It looks beautiful on your table.

I also have trouble going back to finnish things, pitty my grandaughter does not visit more often. Maybe this would work with me too.

  3. Your table cover is gorgeous to look at a probably quite practical too. How lovely that your young daughter is already interested in quilting. You will have years of lovely sharing of ideas.
