The Book is Complete ... Amen

The book is done. My absence for a while on the blog has been down to sheer busyness with various creative ventures.
I finished the book last night and have felt really depleted since! It has been a wholly therapeutic experience and one of experimentation and enjoyment. Very cathartic even!

 A body of work ...amen

Tonight I am giving a workshop on creating a fabric and paper book to a bunch of accomplished stitchers - wish me luck ... it's a whole new venture!

  10. What a beautiful book... stitched fabric - how lovely. I used collage papers to complete my book... have you thought about publishing it at Blurb.com?

  12. Nice to hear from you Clare. How interesting to hear that you live in Wolverhampton. I lived in Finchfield for seventeen years and taught at Heath Park Comprehensive School in Heath Town before retiring and moving up here to the Yorkshire Dales. I
love your fabric book. Heather (Ragged Old Blogger on my side bar) makes lovely ones too and also went on a marvellous workshop a few months ago if you scroll back through her blogs. I used to do a lot of quilting and making wall hangings and also machine embroidery until quite recently when I developed a shake in my hands which makes it impossible sadly. Do call and see me again.

  14. Beautiful pages Clare. I always get flat when I've finished something major. This time around (and there's been many) I'm determined to keep the flow going with always having something else in various stages of completion. The "gap" is the killer xx
