Small things.

Fascinated at the moment by the minute tiny things around. Tiny parts of skeleton leaves, decaying vegetation in the garden and the texture of the very small. Feeling the need to make little but detailed pieces so this quilt, which is three layered and fully turned is only 3" x 2" (7.5cm x 5cm).
More of this to come. I think.

  2. Button as a moon....that is so clever and the entire piece is wonderful! Tiny but no less beautiful than a larger piece. I think as artists we notice things more, and maybe as I get older too. So the tiny, the textured, the interesting helps us all to savor the dday that much more. It's like that sense of wonder a child has.

  3. I agree too, we are surrounded by beauty and wonder and we try to bring this to the attention of others. Lovely little quilt, Clare, you must have nimble fingers.
