Seeing Something Anew




There are so many elements on the road it's sometimes hard to see the bigger picture.


















often I don't know which way to turn, trying this way and that.






















...and then suddenly it doesn't really matter at all any more because I've spotted something I've never seen before.

Today it was a green woodpecker in the garden searching for ant eggs.

How amazing, on a day when my new camera arrived in the post and when it had just charged.

  3. I LOVE woodpeckers. When I was growing up we had a telegraph pole in the garden that must have been treated with something to make it extra tough. A lovely (but stupid) woodpecker would spend hours trying to peck a hole in it. Must have been quite a headace...
