Creature Comforts

The children are on their Christmas holidays and are really tired from busy terms in new schools so we've had a day in. Isabel and I painted. I decided on a festive robin and she did all sorts of avante guarde blobbiness (sometimes over my painting, sigh). Anyway it's very therapeutic!

It started to snow right on cue this afternoon so we brought in the guinea pigs from their run in the garden to their indoor hotel. They have had room service and are already perusing the Christmas dinner menu!

  1. I love guinea pigs. Did you know that after just one hour of birth the guinea pig no longer needs a parent to survive. The eyes are open, th digestive system can cope with adult food and they are mobile.

    Love the robin :)

  2. Oh that Robin is a true beauty......does this mean Spring is here?...please, please, pretty please!

There is nothing like the look of hand quilting. Looking at yours makes me think that I really have to get around to doing more of it myself.

  5. Your robin card is lovely and painterly.

Lucky guinea pigs, do they squeak all day long, mine used to. My neighbour once mistook it for the window cleaner, the sound of shammy leather on glass!
