Tea Dyed

I have really enjoyed the process of working with soft, simple tea dyed calico and a few odd scraps of paper and threads to celebrate the cacophony of birdsong at this time of year at early light. They really do sing for their lives.

We have a webcam in one of our bird-boxes and I do hope we get some close ups of some eggs and chicks this Spring.

  1. Lovely, and what a great tribute to the birds! (I've been enjoying listening to their happy singing as I take my daily walks... they are so joyful!)

  2. Tea dyeing - so simple, yet giving such lovely results.

I think that often the simple techniques leave more room for concentrating on the design itself - and yours is great!

I'm so happy too, hearing the birds welcome spring now every morning - makes it much easier to start the day!

  7. Gorgeous, lovely design.

Birdsong is lovely, especially now. I heard a song thrush last week, he had so many verses to get through, I was enthralled.

  8. Clara,

I feel so sad for Jude. I have an idea, for I feel quite helpless, for she does so much for us and I would like to do something for her. So what if we all make a circle of lights for WAS and Jude? I lit a candle and put it on my blog. Perhaps we could all do this. As many people visit your blog will you help me spread the light? (please don't mention my blog, for it's for Jude and WAS)
