Still Here

Just in case anyone reads this and just in case, if they do, they think I've fallen off the edge of the World, I am still here.

In fact last week I wasn't here having spent some time with my family visiting the South Hams - a lovely remote area of Devon. The weather was superb and the children constructed HUGE holes on beaches. You can probably see them from space!
The cat hanging is making progress but other than that I haven't been stitching as my energies have had to turn to controlling the triffid like weeds that are growing with this sunshine in the garden and allotment.
I just need to bind this now and take a better picture!

Meanwhile here is a shot of Thurleston Rock near where we stayed and also one of a fresh Spring butterfly which landed on the patio.

  1. How did you do that??
I just can't get any good photos of butterflies, dead snake though?
Allotment news? phew, hot hot.. but the weeds just love it! Must admit though, even though we started late we're really pleased how everyhing's coming up!!

  2. It sounds like you had a wonderful time...the photos are beautiful and so is the wall hanging.

  3. like two lovers kissing...gorgeous pics Clare x

  4. welcome home. sounds like a lovely jolly jaunt you've been on.

  5. I've been playing in the garden a lot too. I'm starting to think I have a "seasonal" blog.

  6. WOW, COOL Butterfly! AND lovely beach--liked your cats too! ENJOY your family and gardens, isn't that what summers are for?? smiles.

  7. It looks like you had a great time in a beautiful place, lucky you! The sunshine must have been the icing on the cake.

  8. Beautiful pictures, esp the butterfly. Looking forward to seeing the finish cat wall hanging. Looks fab.
